Ben McLeish's Lecture Notes
Dear Mr McLeish, I am an architecture student and am writing my dissertation on criminological research and prison design. I saw in your Leoben Correctional Center article about a "hardback book detailing the prison’s founding, building, as well as criminal psychology essays", and was wondering if you knew if this information is available online, or how else I may be able to get hold of it? Thank you, Annabel Knightley

Hi Anabel - Funnily enough I was just searching for is book the other day because I rewrite the speech I did for this article (in case you haven’t seen it, it might be useful for you - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzaI_bcHwgA) - most of the book is in German. Do you want me to scan the intro for you?

“Space Tourists” and “Burzynski: Cancer Is Serious Business” Win 2011 DOC Channel Awards

documentarychannel:

Congratulations to the two film winners of Documentary Channel’s “Best of Doc” awards. The jury prize, nominated by the Doc Channel staff and picked by a select group, goes to Christian Frei’s Space Tourists. And the audience prize, voted by viewers from the same group of nominees, goes to Eric Merola’s Burzynski: Cancer is Serious Business.

Following a great month of programming that saw a recap of the channel’s best premieres of 2011, these two titles represent the favorites of two different circles of Doc Channel interests. But each was chosen by a group of fans and both are now equally proven as greats of documentary cinema, as far as we’re all concerned. Both films receive $1500 in addition to this new esteem.
